What to do

Ruthin – an historic market town is only 3 miles away with its castle, old gaol, Nantclwyd-Y-Dre, craft centre and shops.

Llangollen is approximately 8 miles away via the Horseshoe Pass. Travel on the steam train, cruise on the horse-drawn canal barges, wonder at Thomas Telfords amazing aqueduct at Froncysyllte, climb up to Dinas Bran Castle or join us for the International Eisteddfod.

For the shopaholics amongst you we are 27 miles from historic Chester and 20 miles from the outlet village Cheshire Oaks

We are situated in an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty, close to the Clwydian Range and the Offa’s Dyke Path. Stunning views of the Vale of Clwyd can be achieved within a relatively short walk.

Coed Llandegla Cycling Centre is 8 miles away and boasts 44km of purpose built mountain bike trails – some of the best in the country, with an award winning cafe for refreshments.

RHS Gold Medal winning Dibleys Nurseries is only a short drive down the lanes and is well worth a visit to marvel at their Streptocarpus and Begonias.

For evening entertainment we are close to Theatre Clwyd in Mold, Llangollen Pavillion, and of course we have our own regular programme of events.
